The Keeper of Lost Time

When the moon rose over the quiet city, the owl swept through the clouds with wings stretched wide against the night sky. It was no ordinary bird. Hidden in its feathers were all the moments people thought were gone forever—missed chances, forgotten dreams, words left unsaid, and promises delayed too long.

Around it drifted melting clocks, broken numbers, and small drawers filled with memories. Wherever time had been wasted or buried under regret, the owl gathered it carefully and carried it into the stars.

People called it the Keeper of Lost Time.

On certain nights, if someone looked up when the world was still, they might catch its bright eyes glowing in the moonlight. By morning, they would wake with something they thought they had lost—the courage to try again.

A young writer once saw the owl circling above her window. She had spent years saying, one day I’ll begin. But one day had become many years.

The owl dropped a single silver feather onto her desk.

When dawn arrived, she opened a blank page and wrote her first sentence.

Because the owl could not turn back time.

But it could give people something even better:

a fresh start.
